“ I have a Yorkie-Poo who has suffered with vomiting and diarrhea, sometimes bloody both ways, since he was 5 months. He would have attacks about two times per year but last year, April 2008 they were a constant problem for him. Three vets all said gastro-enteritis was the diagnosis and he had been on 6 different foods by this time. I was told to put him on a 95% protein/5% veggie canned food. I put him on Evo but his problems persisted, if not even more so. My 19.6 lbs dog went down to 12 lbs and I was told he was at "critical mass." I was devastated thinking I was going to lose my dog to this. I then read an article about pancreatitis and all the symptoms associated with it and they were everything my dog, Tatum, suffered from ... every single one listed. I took him to an alternative vet because they had the newest blood test available for this ailment. The most common blood test for the pancreas has too many false negatives. The new blood test confirmed he was suffering from pancreatitis. I was told to put him on a vegetarian diet. I follow a vegan diet and had always seen the V-Dog ads in my Vegetarian Times magazine but always discounted it saying to myself, "How crazy is that, dogs are natural carnivores." But once I was told to try a vegetarian diet, I chose to go with V-Dog rather than the two times more expensive vet kind-which he started on 11/4/08. And miraculously, Tatum thrived...immediately-literally! The only problem he continued to have was the stomach acid vomiting about every three days. We now have that down to about once a week. He remains on Pepcid for the time being but I am hoping he will eventually be able to get off those as well. He has enormous amounts of energy again, he is at 17.8 lbs currently, and his feces no longer has any odor and is normal! Everything is awesome! It is truly a miracle the turnaround he has had. “ I can't believe that after 7 months, Cuddles gets to have peace from those chronic ear infections. The first vet we saw said that nothing would help short of surgically ablating the ear, and wouldn't even give him antibiotics. The next vet was a holistic vet and we tried chiropractic treatments and other remedies with no success. Finally a third vet treated him with antibiotics and an ear flush, and even then suggested that we should start looking at surgical ablation if the ear didn't improve. And then V-dog saved the day, Cuddles' ear and about $1,200 and substantial stress and anxiety.
